Princezny a bojovnice: ženský aktivismus v radikálních hnutích

This paper describes and analyses radical left and radical right social movements in the Czech Republic. In particular, it focuses on women´s and feminist activities and projects within these movements. In the first part of the text, the theory of gender in social movements is outlined, and the participation of men and women and their gender roles in activism are analysed. Concretely, the text illustrates these aspects in the left- and right-wimg movements. In the second part of the text, an empirical research of the Czech radical Left and radical Right is presented. Various anarcho-feminist currents and women´s activities in the socialist movement are analysed and compared, and their relationship to mainstream feminism is examined. In the third part gender aspects of neo-Nazi activism, the role of women and specific women´s activities and groups in the far Right are addressed.
