Bezdomovectví jako extrémní forma chudoby udržuje a prohlubuje nerovnosti v oblasti zdraví. Lidé bez domova čelí desetkrát vyšší úmrtnosti než běžná populace, přičemž průměrný věk úmrtí je 45 let.
