Israel's changing collective identity from Sabra culture to a multicultural society

Israel’s Changing Collective Identity. This talk traces changes in Israeli society from the Sabra culture of 1948 & the "melting pot" of the past to today's “multiculturalism”. It deals with the place of Jews from Arab Lands, Jews, ultra-Orthodox, Liberal Judaism, immigrants from the former Soviet Union, and Israeli Arabs McDonald's in Israeli society. It also evaluates the influence of globalization on Israeli identity.
