Working life in Europe and the developed world in general is changing
at an ever-increasing pace. Work is being redefined by globalisation, the use
of new information and technologies, and artificial intelligence. It is crucial for
us to understand and adapt to these changes. Forms of employment and relations
between employers and employees are changing, and workers‘ rights
are being individualised and, in some cases, restricted. The paper discusses
the consequences and limits of these developments, stressing the need for understanding
and adapting to these changes.
