  • Cyberspace and Law: Reconstructing Digital Justice from a Gender Equality Perspective

The Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences invites you to a professional webinar focused on changes in justice in the digital environment. The lecture by JUDr. Dominik Šoltys will present cyberspace as a dynamic environment in which new forms of identity, power, and inequality arise.

This lecture explores cyberspace as a dynamic environment where new forms of identity, power, and justice emerge. It focuses on the legal challenges of the digital age, particularly issues of gender equality, digital identity protection, and technology regulation. Special attention will be given to the position of women in digital environments, their vulnerability to cyber violence, digital discrimination, and limited access to technology. The lecture also opens up discussions on intersectionality, data justice, and digital activism as tools for achieving equality in cyberspace. The aim is to critically reflect on how law can contribute to a more just digital world, especially for women and other marginalized groups.

Registration for the webinar is open until December 12, 2025. More information can be found here.
