  • Historical Milestones in Border-Region Identities in Western Bohemia – Bavaria – How Czechs and Germans Define Themselves and Perceive One Another as Immediate Neighbours

Project Duration: 2002 - 2004

Category: Projects

This sociological study of the populations in the neighbouring border regions of Bavaria and Western Bohemia involves research from the perspective of biographic narratives in order to search for differences and similarities in the mentalities of the populations which could be defined as a source of conflict or, conversely, as sources of the social capital of trust and co-operation.
