This book explains why Czech voters choose specific parties. The focus is on the long-term determinants of electoral behaviour (cleavages, left-right orientation, and party identification) and on four parties with long-term representation in the Czech parliament: ČSSD, KDU-ČSL, KSČM and ODS. Moreover, the authors focused on changes in the determinants of electoral stability over time. Based on a secondary analysis of data from qualitative research of unmarried parental couples, this article explores childbearing in unmarried cohabitation from the perspective of de-standardisation and individualization of family trajectories.
