The article examines age as a possible group identity. It sets out to determine which age groups in society today have a stronger sense of identity and the source of that identity, while drawing on the tenets of social psychology and the theories of social identity and optimal distinctiveness. The Role and Position of Committees of the House of Deputies of the Czech Republic in the Period of Transformation

The article provides analysis of the gradual institutionalization of the committees of the Czech Parliament between 1993 and 1999 and shows that in the committees, gradual expert and political professionalization of the deputies occurs ů deputies acquire a new type of supra-sector specialization.
