This study analyses the reasons behind the low electoral participation and behind voter mobility, and looks at the consequences these changes hold for the electoral gains of individual parties. It indicates an ability to cooperate with the different actors influencing regional decision-making. It could be useful for a comparison with the other groups of elites. The opinions of the regional elite on the development possibilities of the regions were analyzed. Most of respondents are optimistic. The effort in gaining the money from EU funds, preferential support for domestic small and medium enterprises, and the support for the development of tourism was most often mentioned as the main development priorities the regions should concentrate. There is more or less consensus about the main development priorities among the different types of regional elite.…

The regional elites express a higher level of generalized and institutional trust in comparison with the average among the Czech population.
