In the chapter the spatial differentiation of residential satisfaction with different aspects of life is presented. An analysis based on data from a 2016 survey on peripheral areas shows that satisfaction of people living in rural peripheries is actually lower than in cities, but also lower than in other rural places. People are less satisfied with the local infrastructure and feel less safe. They also rate relationships between people in locality as worse.
