Voters and the 2010 Elections book presents descriptions, analyses, and interpretations of voter behaviour in the Czech general election of 2010, when serious fractures emerged in the long-term stability of the Czech party system (at least in the post-socialist context). The two main parties lost more than one-third of their support, two small government parties failed to get re-elected into the Chamber of Deputies, and they were replaced by two new parties, not only in the Chamber but also in government. The aim of this book is to show what factors and motivations influenced voters in the Chamber Elections of 2010 compared to previous elections, most notably those in 2006. The analyses are based primarily on a post-election survey Czech Election Study 2010 (Česka volebni studie 2010).
