In the publication, the NKC maps the position of women in science and innovation in the Czech Republic. The report has been published annually since 2005. It contains data on the representation of women in science and research across disciplines and economic sectors. You will also get an overview of the number of women in senior positions in science and research and the gender pay gap in academia. There is also an international comparison of the Czech Republic with other EU countries.

This article offers insights into eating practices, conceptualising and making of ‘good’ food by people living with chronic disease. Based on ethnographic research focussing on people with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and undefined IBD) in the Czech Republic, we explore what it would mean to conceptualise disability from the non-normative gut.

The pandemic has radically shifted how society is organised, with increased work from home, home-schooling, and intensification of online presence, all with specific (un)intended implications on paid and unpaid care work. Recent HCI scholarship has critiqued anthropocentrism in design as contributing to the ecological crisis. The current paper contributes theoretically and empirically to this area, adopting the lens of Socio-Ecological Relations, inspired by Environmental History and STS. We argue that a socio-ecological lens can offer practical tools to HCI and Interaction Design to overcome the separation between humanity and nature-as-a-resource.

Výzkum na téma Násilí na ženách v souvislosti s COVID-19 vznikl jako reakce na nastalou pandemickou situaci v roce 2020. Díky tomu, že obě výzkumnice byly díky své předchozí činnosti v pravidelném kontaktu s nestátními neziskovými organizacemi, které se v oblasti domácího násilí pohybují – konkrétně Acorus, ROSA a proFem – se k nim záhy po začátku pandemie v roce 2020 dostaly informace o tom, jak nesourodé jsou informace o situaci uvnitř systému pomoci obětem domácího násilí.

This article details our attempts at making sense of an ostalgic heterotopic space. We relay here our analysis of staying in and exploring a disused air raid shelter built during WWII, converted into a fallout shelter at the beginning of the Cold War and recently repurposed in an anti-communist museum/tourist hotel/ostalgic canteen called 10Z Bunker.
