Sabina Vassileva is a PhD candidate at Charles University Prague and a junior researcher at the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Her research interests include medical anthropology and anthropology of work and technologies. She employs qualitative methodology and feminist STS approaches—mainly material semiotics and queer theory. She has published her work in Sextant, Revue de recherche interdisciplinaire sur le genre et la sexualité and Archivio anthropologico meditteraneo. For her master thesis about platform economy she received the Czech Anthropological Association's award for the best thesis of the year. She is currently working within research projects Technocultures of extended metabolism, Platform workers on the Czech labour market and Strategy AV21: AI for science and society. She is also a PhD fellow at CEFRES.
