Education: 

Petr Vašát is a social anthropologist. Using various methods and tools, such as ethnography, social networks analysis, photovoice or GPS tracking, his research is focused on the comparative study of architecture/design and poverty, informality and city, and the temporal, spatial, and social dimensions of street culture. He has held visiting positions at Columbia University (Fulbright-Masaryk Fellowship), Universidad del Rosario and Central European University (Junior Core Fellowship). Starting in the Fall 2021, he is joining as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow the Georg-Simmel Center for Metropolitan Studies, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and visiting the Weatherhead Centre for International Affairs, Harvard University.
