Education
Petr Vašát is a social anthropologist. Using various methods and tools, such as ethnography, social networks analysis, photovoice or GPS tracking, his research is focused on the comparative study of architecture/art/design and poverty, informality and city, and the temporal, spatial, and social dimensions of street culture. In the past, he had held visiting positions at Columbia University (Fulbright-Masaryk Fellowship), Universidad del Rosario (UR Research Fellowship), Central European University (Junior Core Fellowship) and Harvard University (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Research Fellow). Since 2021, he has worked also as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellow the Georg-Simmel Center for Urban Studies, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
