Culture is also in the Czech Republic an important factor in the development of territorial units, regions and municipalities (especially large cities), in connection with changes in the economy and the labor market, the growing emphasis on education, creativity and innovation. On the other hand, culture is associated with quality of life, social cohesion and identification with the region. Some of the results of the project Social and Institutional Conditionality of Culture Development and Cultural Heritage Maintaining in the Regional Setting and its Exploitation for Effective Organisation of the Regional Cultural Activities will be presented.
