Životní styl po roce 1989 – proměny trávení volného času ve sféře kulturní participace

Trends in selected indicators of leisure activities in the Czech society since beginning 1990´s using results of CVVM surveys and CZO statistics are outlined. Using data from large surveys from 1994 to 2011 (SOÚ), main factors influencing highbrow culture participation are pursued. The other disadvantaged neighbourhood: income related effects of living in rural peripheries

In this article, we argue that similarly to the literature on urban neighbourhood effects, the idea of disadvantaging residential environment can be used to explain the socio-economic disadvantage of residents in rural peripheries. We present arguments as to why it is appropriate to consider the effects of the residential environment in a micro-regional perspective and outside of metropolitan areas. Legitimacy and Civic Culture: Trust in Democracy in the Czech Republic after EU Accession (2004-2014).

This paper investigates the role of civic culture and other political factors in support for democracy in the Czech Republic during the decade following EU accession.
