Kdo se (po)stará? Dítě mezi rodinou, státem a trhem

Based on ESS 2008/2009, this chapter focuses on public attitudes towards state’s role in provision of childcare and its accessibility in CEE countries. In the Czech Republic, where the family policy is familialistic, the public express lower expectations towards state and lower dissatisfaction with childcare accessibility. Women and parents of small children express higher expectations and dissatisfaction. Attitudes are also influenced by level of education and by attitudes to women´s employment.…
