The article deals with social network analysis of the public, private and non-profit institutions that are considered the most important actors in local development. The study was carried out in three small Czech towns. The conclusions indicate the unconditional significance of local public administration institutions and a significance of the other local institutions the relations toward the extra-local institutions are rather weak. This paper presents some findings about time-series evolution of trust in political institutions in the Czech Republic between 1997 and 2009. This article sets out to identify the factors that can help explain trust in selected political institutions in the Czech Republic. The life-time learning model was used as the theoretical framework for this investigation. Výběrová šetření a analýza agregátních dat - diskuse na téma použitelnosti různých přístupů v komparativních analýzách politického chování

The use of surveys has long been considered superior to aggregate data analysis in study of political behavior as it allows researchers to avoid danger of ecological fallacy. Article suggests the use of LOCCONTINGENCY method that combines the advantages of both possible approaches. Results provided by LOCCONTINGENCY method is tested by comparing with the survey results from four model regions.
