The target of methodological research, specialized on victimization, was to analyze and improve the qustionnaire used in quantitative research in order to increase the quality of interviewing. The article presents partial results of a qualitative study realized in 2006 between Czech men and women managers. The purpose of the study was to compare the situation and conditions of men and women in managerial work. It shows that the main source of inequalities is the need of conciliation of managerial work and household and family duties. The article presents specific method of the study of the life-course which focuses on the life-course trajectories as a whole – the sequence analysis. Contrary to event-oriented perspective holistic approach does not focus mainly on single life event but on a whole sequence of events. Using an ecological inference technique this paper examines vote switching in the Czech Republic between the 2002 Chamber elections and 2004 European elections.
