The interim research report presents the findings of the first phase of the project, focusing on the education of pupils with insufficient proficiency in the language of instruction in primary schools and the transition of pupils from primary to secondary schools. The report provides the results of an online survey conducted in primary schools across five regions of the Czech Republic. The survey aimed to map the number of pupils with limited proficiency in the language of instruction and the level of support these pupils require and receive in schools. Subsequent chapters address topics such as the organization of language preparation and support in schools, the transport accessibility of primary schools designated for language preparation, and Czech as a second language study programs and courses offered by universities.
