The article deals with the empirical model of social trust determinants in the Czech society (Aktér a rizika 2005 survey). Trust is influenced by two main spheres: (1) individual’s personality (psychological traits and values) (2) positive evaluation of the political system and its efficiency on the other hand the trust in other people is lowered by disenchantment of development after 1989.
