Michaela Jirková works at the Department of Economic and Religious Studies at the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, currently involved in the project "Income Poverty" 2023-2025 funded by the Czech Academy of Sciences, which thematically follows the previous project "Methodology and Reality of Poverty" 2018-2021. She graduated in Statistics at the Department of Economic Statistics at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics on the Prague University of Economics and Business, where she successfully completed her postgraduate studies by defending her dissertation "Estimation of a National Equivalence Scale for the Evaluation of Household Income, Consumption and Living Conditions" in 2024. Since 2015, she has also been employed at the Department of Social Surveys of the Czech Statistical Office for the coordination of the international statistical survey in households EU-SILC.
