Vassileva, S., H. Porkertová. 2026. „Kulatý stůl: Hormonální interakce v hybridně uzavřených smyčkách“. (zpráva).
The roundtable discussion brought together women and men living with diabetes, mothers of children living with diabetes, AAPS loop developers, a representative of an insulin pump manufacturer, and a diabetologist to engage in a shared dialogue on hormonal dynamics and the possibilities and limitations of incorporating them into diabetes management. The roundtable was held in a hybrid format in order to increase its accessibility across regions. Although there is growing demand within the diabetes community to open up the topic of hormones, as also indicated by preliminary findings presented by the team from the Institute of Sociology, hormonal variability has historically been linked to exclusion from clinical studies, and the available data remain fragmentary. Modern technologies partly compensate for this by enabling people living with diabetes to observe hormonal processes in their own bodies. Four discussion areas prepared by the sociological research team served as the starting point for the shared debate.
