Článek shrnuje poznání o fenoménu jednodětnosti a rozvíjí poznání o jednodětnosti v ČR. Na základě Sčítání lidu z roku 2011 a reprezentativního výzkumu životních drah analyzuje faktory související s jednodětností a plánem mít jedináčka.
