The publication is focused on understanding the construction of lay knowledge as concerns the phenomenon of breadwinning. Authors attempt to uncover the formation of breadwinning according to its various types and models so that it would be possible to observe the mechanisms behind the re/production, and legitimisation of social and gender inequalities in the family and the associated power relations.
