GenderSAFE supports efforts to establish a zero-tolerance approach to gender-based violence in the European Research Area in order to contribute to building a safe, inclusive and respectful environment in research and innovation and higher education.
- Specific objectives:
- To develop a European code of conduct based on a zero-tolerance approach to gender-based violence in higher education and research and to enhance the theoretical and conceptual understanding of GPN and zero tolerance
- Establish an institutional basis for the implementation of zero-tolerance policies on GBV through co-creation, peer exchange and sharing
- Capacity building with all types of stakeholders in the EU and associated countries to ensure that institutions are able to effectively address GPN issues, with particular attention to Widening Countries
- Build the knowledge base on the implementation and content of zero-tolerance policies on GBV in the EU and associated countries
- Disseminate the zero-tolerance approach to GBV among all relevant ERA groups
