The article is based on ana empirical survey of zoung single people between18 -30 years of age. It surveys attitudes towards the family, parenthood andpartnership. Most of the zoung people would like to marry their partner, but only after some time of "test cohabitation". Young Czech women did notembrace strongly emancipated attitudes was not affected by education of thewomen. Only minimum of young people plans to stay childless and ideal of thefamily with two children is clearly prevalent in the population.…
