The paper deals with the analysis of socio-economic and infrastructural differences of small commu¬nities disposing of their own local government and communities which form a part of a bigger mu¬nicipality and don’t dispose therefore of their own local government. The authors seek an answer to the question what impact has the administrative status of a community on its development. The results indicate that the impact of the administra¬tive status on development is generally weak.…

Sociální integrace přistěhovalců z velkoměsta na vesnici v České republice a v Rakousku
The article deals with the topic of migration from cities to villages in the Czech republic and in Austria and especially with the possibilities of social integration of the incomers. It is based on a qualitative research. The analysis is built on the subjective point of view of the incomers and their assessment of the situation. The author shows two different patterns of motivation for migration and presents a typology of relationships between the incomers and the village community. …

It comes to conclusion that the participative nature of community care planning is only partially implemented in reality. The article deals with social network analysis of the public, private and non-profit institutions that are considered the most important actors in local development. The study was carried out in three small Czech towns. The conclusions indicate the unconditional significance of local public administration institutions and a significance of the other local institutions the relations toward the extra-local institutions are rather weak.
